And the world never looked the same again.

What explosive event split world history in two? What single individual had such an unparalleled, thoroughgoing, and decisive impact on virtually every area of modern culture—literature, architecture, music, the arts, higher education, world literacy, even science— that he remains, irrevocably, the one man who cannot be erased from history, even if every ancient manuscript detailing his life disappeared from existence?

- Gregory Koukl

If Jesus truly was God in human-form, you would expect Him to have altered the shape and course of history like no ordinary human ever could.

And that's exactly what He did.

No one had a bigger impact on the world as we know it than Jesus. Much of art, culture, literature, education, medicine, human rights (such as the end of slavery), even science, was influenced, shaped even, by Jesus and his followers.

This video is a great introduction to the world-altering appearance of God-in-human-flesh that Jesus, and his followers, had on the world. But to truly see how Jesus is the single most important figure in all of history, read the book 'Person of interest' by Wallace (we are in no way affiliated).

Further contemplation;

"The abolitionist movement was dominated by Bible believing Christians so moved by their faith (and God’s Word), they felt compelled to eliminate slavery altogether."

"I am a historian, I am not a believer, but I must confess as a historian that this penniless preacher from Nazareth is irrevocably the very center of history. Jesus Christ is easily the most dominant figure in all history."

Hands down, Jesus is the most explosive figure ever to step into history. - Greg Laurie
